E-BAY TKO Notice

What is a TKO notice.
I was high bidder on item # 3965736755 A 1924-S buffalo in NGC XF40 on 3/23/05.
I have been trying to get a hold of the seller for 6 days to give me an address and a total to send payment.
I get this E-Mail from E-Bay saying they removed the item and cancelled my bid because it appears the sellers
account has been compromised and used by a third party. How can they say that after 6 days.
Sounds to me like the seller didn't get what they wanted for the item,
What would you expect for ending an item at 11:40 am on a wednesday morning.
I think I got ripped.
What can I do.

Well, quite a few of these situations have been tracked on these boards recently, so it's possible an account hijacking occured. How about a link to the auction?

Move on and be very thankfull you didn't actually send any money before the auction was found to be bogus.

    I really wanted that coin.
  • You got lucky. There has been a huge rise lately in compramised accounts. I have recieved several fake e-mails that have been reported to their anti fraud people. I have had several conversations with support on their tech chat program. Unfortanantly, lots of people have fallen for it. These e-mails trick people into responding with there account info. Maybe this seller responded to one.

There is no auction to link to. eBay removed it.

Its frustrating thinking you sniped a great coin, And you try to contact the seller for 6 days
    and they don't respond.
    High bid was $ 465.00
Then you find out it wasn't real.
    Man what a let down.
Thanks for everyones comments on this.
