the centering on this card is listed as '10'

Here is the quote the seller sent to me via ebay spam:

The centering is side to side DUMB-ASS! Any true vintage card buff would know what the grading stand for.

I'm actually very suspicious about this card. BGS/BVG may be off on a lot of things, but they are absolutely anal retentive when it comes to centering.

promise you it says 10, did not know how to make the scan larger. If it had been a 1 the overall grade could have been no higher than 2 with the system they use.

I think the subgrade on the flip might say 1.5 for centering. There's the tiniest sliver of border along the bottom, or it would be miscut (under PSA standards, anyway).

PRO would say the centering is about 7.5.

According to the pop report, the card with that serial# has a 10 for centering and was graded just a few weeks ago. There is no way in hell BVG could have missed something like this. I suspect something a foul here.

Here is the note I was sent throught ebay. It is not actually on the site as of now. I wish I could figure out how to send a larger picture as I have never seen anything like this before.

The Note:I'm not sure on what you want by "Feedback Profile" but I have 234 positive feedbacks and 1 negative. I have looked at prices on other 1951 Mays's and I'm looking for $1,500 or best offer, Paypal only. I have e-mail about 7 people off of eBay so far and You are the 2nd to respond. I trying to shop it around before I put it on eBay to save on fees. If you want to call me, 859-771-4100. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, Jim

Something is fishy. I have little respect for BCCG and BGS, but BVG uses a different grading crew for vintage and they would not grade that centering as 10. It has to be a switcheroo of some kind.
