If the pictures are close to accurate this is a very good looking coin. LINK Drool, Drool.

Absolutely incredible coin, and I'm one of those people who doesn't care too much for the T$ look image.

From the pictures it looks much better than a PR63. There might be some haze on the obverse at about 10:00, but I can't really see anything else that would knock it down. I guess there is something that is not showing up in the images.

I like trade dollars and that is stunning.

I'm curious why the grade is so low. It doesn't appear to have a rub.

More likely than not because it's got severe hairlines.

I just spent some time looking other PR63 Trade Dollars on the Heritage site, and I believe that listing photo is hiding a lot of "stuff". He has used a diffusion dome (maybe even a lamp shade) to turn the proof surface black and hide the marks. Or else it has been post processed.

This is one I bought recently and it looks pretty nice also. Care to guess the grade? It might surprise you.

I'm no good at grading a proof like that, but it looks better than the PR63s I've been seeing. So I would guess PR64.

Here is the point. My coin is Pcgs PF62 Deep Cameo and has a lot of hairlines. A picture does not usually show hairlines that you can see in person.
  • dont own any though i kinda like em.

That one gives me a woody !
