1921-D Morgan with Berry in Eagle's Mouth
You know those dots that appear on the 1921 Morgans? Supposedly one reason was for a hardness test of the die. Here's one in the eagle's mouth. If it's some kind of rare VAM, please let me know.

I don't know anything about the VAM, but I do recall reading about testing the dies by making small dots in the field. I didn't realize they would do that so close to or on the device. Interesting find...

Yeeeehah!!! Suprised the $%&# out of me.
Norm, I will assign a JOH number to record that variety. Agree with Jack it is most likely too small to get a VAM from Leroy.

That's cool! If you need the coin for anything, let me know and I'll send it to you.
Thanks!
