No Card Savers: Best method to submit...

Hi
I'm looking for a quick way of submitting a handful of cards for the March special, so I don't have time to pick up Card Savers.

What's your favorite way to submit in such a situation?

I'm thinking a card in penny-sleeve sandwhiched between two top-loaders with rubber-bands (gently) holding everything together.

  • I think PSA wont even grade them if their not in card savers. I could be wrong though. I do know that they want them to be in card savers.
Culpepper to ?, only God knows at this point!

They will grade them they just state that they're not responsible for any damage done to the cards you submit in anything other than card savers..

How would you label each card?

I wouldn't recomend this. A lot of damage can happen in route to PSA> At least use a toploader for each card.

PSA says no insertion in top-loaders.
Unfortunately there aren't any card shops in my area, so no card savers.

I wish PSA would simply send you some along with your graded cards. This is the second time I've run into this problem...

I send in submissions all the time with rigid top loaders. Other than minor movement in or out of (falling out), I've had no issues. They grade everything as long as you send them the $$!

Yup. I send them in toploaders with a team bag so the card doesn't fallout. Never had a problem

I use toploaders.. there is the chance of the card going flying out of the holder when kocking it out hitting your wrist that's holding the holder with your other hand.. I've seen them go flying out and it's happend to me before as well but I would like to think the graders use tweezers to grab hold of the penny sleeve to pull the card out.

Okay, let's try the toploaders with a team bag.
Still wish they put a few of the card savers in the box when they mailed your cards back to you though...

    Thanks for the assurance.

I actually asked, Iif I paid for more shipping, if they would send them back to me. No answer, no response.

I only use card savers when submitting. Since they are oversized, I find it very easy to insert the cards in them. I sandwich them between two pieces of cardboard and use rubber bands that don't fit too tight. IMO, top loaders are too notorius for damaging cards. Card Savers can be purchased at cardboardgold.com for very reasonable prices.
