1848-D $2.50 PCGS AU-50:
My photography is not the best, but I will tell you that it is an accurately graded (in an old green holder), 100% original quarter eagle, obtained in May, 2003 from the Gold Rush Gallery.
Trends is $3400, and the coin will be offered for $2950 (delivered, 7 day return privilige, I will pay return postage if it does not stick). The three most recent examples at Heritage have sold for $2817, $2990, and $4025 (two were PCGS, one NGC, and I cannot confirm the originality of any of these pieces).
The catch: it will be 9 days until I can get to the safety deposit box to get it. In the mean time, think about it. If you are seriously interested or have additional questions, feel free to PM me.
