Submitting Cards to PSA

Can cards be sent via 2 Day Priority USPS Mail in those neat little boxes the USPS provides?

  • It doesn't matter how fast they get there just that they go USPS or FedEx.

Does anybody use these boxes? If so, are they safe for shipping cards in card savers as long as they are wrapped in bubble wrap?:

I've always used the priority mail boxes. Never had a problem!

Ditto for what 54Topps said ! Would also like to add to be sure to send it insured and secure the outside of the box with clear packaging tape for extra security !....................Robbie

Thanks for all of your replies. Robbie, I always use clear packing tape also. It's funny because PSA recommends not to use the clear stuff but the brown packing tape.

"STEP 6 Do not use clear, vinyl tape if shipping USPS. Use packing tape to completely seal the outside of the box."

You cant use the clear tape. You have to use the brown packing tape when you send registered mail. I tried the clear and the post office got mad and put brown tape over it.

USPS Priority is convenient because they have the free priority boxes. When a package is worth several thousand dollars, however, it costs a lot more to insure a priority package than a registered package.
  • PSA reccomends Brown paper tape because it is what you HAVE to use for Registered Mail (which they also reccomend)

several people have LOST their cards or even had their boxes OPENED AND EMPTIED when using the Priority.

USE REGISTERED MAIL! it is a pain, and more expensive but worth it for the completely secure mailing it provides.
