Wohoo! My DNW conder tokens arrived.

I love British grading! These are just some of the tokens I got. Most of these were graded as XF or gXF. The pictures were made with a scanner and aren't as good as what a camera would do.

Essex 42 a farthing rated as RRR. In hand the token is 50% red and glossy

Middlesex 378 surfaces are like glass and reflective

Middlesex 383 a rare variety that uses the same obverse as the last and you can see why it was retired. Coin is glossy brown.

Middlesex 928 a choice glossy brown coins with a complete bisecting crack across the reverse die.

There was not enough small change in 18th Century England, Conders were issued to help fill the void.

Having some problems with the picture hosting site. Will try to get the pictures back up ASAP.

Really wish you could see them in the copper. They make the pictures look sick.

Going to have to drop DNW an email about one of the lots tey sent me that I won, #1477. Nice enough piece and has some interesting history to it, but I didn't bid on it.

Pictures seem to be back up.

If it was free it would be a nice bonus, but they charged me 92 pounds for a coin I didn't bid on.

ccrdragon, that's fine, the field is thin enough that it doesn't take too many new collectors to have a significant effect on the market and prices. In the seven years that I have been collecting them seriously, I have seen prices rise between 100 to 300%.
