New to selling on ebay..help wanted :)

I've decided to put up some of the cards I'm looking to get rid of, mostly lower end cards etc etc. Anyone that has sold stuff on ebay and has any advice for me I would appriciate it. Thanks!

  • Just be honest!
  • *accept as many forms of payment as possible and don't wait on checks to clear for inexpensive cards...
    *describe the card accurately.
*be clear about shipping. don't overcharge.
*have a nice scan if possible.
*mention that you'll combine items when shipping
*if you are new to ebay, create an about me page or something so people know that you are responsible etc...

    good luck!

  • Do NOT use the phrase "wife making me sell my collection" or the words "funeral", "estate sale", or "sealed truck" in your description.

    But seriously:

Some of the most important things have already been mentioned like always make your shipping charges as clear as possible, have clear scans and all that...a goal to reach is to have as few questions asked as possible.

Time your auctions so they don't end too late on the east coast and not too early on the west. Use the timed listing feature for this for .10 cents more. I don't end auctions on Friday or Saturday as I don't think too many people are home to bid.

I only have one bit of advice.

Don't send your cards in an Oatmeal Box like this seller did.
