For IKE collectors...1977-D DDO-001 ANACS MS64...now on eBay NR auction ends tomorrow.

I don't remember which dates and mintmarks have peg legs so I tend to check them all...got back a 1977-D in the monster grade of MS64 the other week and when I looked at the bottom of the R in LIBERTY I found a nice class II doubled die obverse instead. Now on the way back from ANACS in DDO #1 holder...there are only four of them graded including the plate coin for the reference guide (plate coin is MS65 the other two are both MS64 also); not sure how much of that is a sign of rarity versus possible lack of interest, and I don't really have a feel for price levels on this (I don't even own the reference guide so don't know what comments it may make about rarity and value...I just (usually) know a doubled die when I see one), so it is in my eBay store priced at a level that I would be happy with even if it is worth quite a bit more; and if the price is incredibly optimistic...I am more than happy to consider offers.

So if I'm low on my price the coin will hopefully soon find its way into the collection of a board member...if the price is way too high please let me know what it is really worth....I would much rather sell it now at a fair price than hold it hostage. image

eBay listing - 1977-D Ike DDO #1 ANACS MS64

On its way back from ANACS right now so should have it early next week so no pix in the new slab but here is the picture from before:

Once again, I have no idea what this is worth so no need to flame me about the price; any input/info would be great.

You mean you crossed it FROM a PCGS slab INTO an ANACS one? image Sacralige (probably spelt wrong). image

Oh, that's right, PCGS refuses to slab non-Cherrypicker varieties - never mind. image

    rella,

    Nice find.

I think you hit the nail on the head on lack of interest. I'll be real curious to see what this coin goes for.

    Please let us know.

    Thanks!

About $ 25.00. This is a reasonable offer.

As promised I'm not holding this coin hostage...managed to pay for my ANACS submission fee...now hopefully I'll get the PCGS fee back also before it's all over with. image

    dbldie55,

I only posted this here because I never see any threads on Ikes over on the U.S. board but see the Ike guys over here talk about varieties all the time...never thought of it from a registry set perspective. image I guess it doesn't quite fit here.

OK...the winner can also request the PCGS cert tag from before I crossed it over. image
