PSA/DNA Question - Slabbed "Authentic" to Grade

Has anyone ever had a slabbed autographed card with the "Authentic" label reholdered with a grade applied? Just wondering if this would just cost the normal $8 (or special) price?

  • I would imagine they would probably charge more in order to grade it. Give them a call.

  • I'm sure its the full fee as if it wasn't graded since your asking for their "opinion" again and that costs moolah!

  • Well, I just can't imagine that they'd charge the full $20 to have the autograph autenticated again and then graded? Maybe so but I'll give them a call today to find out.
  • Trust me. Shipping there and back, plus standard grading fee for authenticating with a grade. I will gladly fall over if they will give an opinion just to be nice. Let us know what they say.

  • I may be misunderstood here. I would fully expect to pay the standard $8 grading fee +S/H in order to have the autographed card graded and re-holdered. I just would not expect to have to pay the $20 for PSA/DNA fees since the autograph has already been authenticated.
  • Again, please find out and post it. This is a good question. I just doubt PSA is going to do anything but try to gauge more money from us!

  • I do know that you do NOT have to pay the $20 for a card already authenticated by PSA/DNA and labeled with a sticker (it is the same as sending in an auto you pulled from a modern pack - regular grading price) but I am not sure if the ones in the PSA - PSA/DNA cases are the same deal.
It SHOULD BE, but may not. I would would call to find out.
  • Response from PSA-

"Yes, the normal grading fee would apply ($8.00 for moderns, $15 regular service, etc.)"
