It did not come cheap either. But this time I was prepared, this is a rare coin in any condition . I once bid on a holed silver phoenix,
(see sig) Fine details, but I saw my bid way lower than the final $220 price, which is understandable due to the phoenix's 12000 mintage.
I'm not competing with LM either, how could I anyway, but silver holed coins have been on my mind for quite some time lately.
With recent Greek coins' prices, these seem to be the only ones I can afford.

There are some interesting coins but on the whole I find Greek 20th century a little lacking within the context of a country that has such a rich numismatic heritage. No insult intended here kind sir, just curious.

you are correct, it does seem as a rather limited choice, let alone that most coins of modern Greece haven't even been engraved or minted locally. As far as I and 99.99% of my fellow Greek collectors are concerned,it's as simple as this: as a Greek citizen, permanently living in Greece, I'm not allowed to collect, buy, sell, trade, import or export Ancient Greek (or other) coins. To do this, I would need a special permit, and I believe 15 such permits exist altogether. Sad story. I'm only allowed to collect post 1828 coins. The law is so badly written, that I even avoid to buy foreign coins prior to this date for fear of an endless bureaucratic battle at the customs to import them.
At least I won the above 5 drs.
