Divisor for weighing sets?? 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987

Just curious, I've been putting together the 1985 Topps PSA set and I thought it was weighed pretty good. I started looking at the 1986 and 1987 sets and saw a couple of cards in there that had some weight but not in 1985 (Ryan, Rose). I then look at 1984 and couldn't believe it. That set weighs in at 1056.
The '85 set is 805. The '86 set is 823. The '87 set is 816.
