This one went the way of statistics and voting tendencies from previous weeks - Vonzie was the bottom feeder - her rendition of "Chain" was off the chart IMO!
Later, Vonzie - see you on someone's top 10 chart!
I dont really think Vonzell was a loser at all. I think she will do just fine. Back when there were 12 or so left, she was barely in the top 5 or 6 but really improved as the weeks went on.
Again, I just dont see how Bo will get a lot of original songs for a cd that wont sound like each other or Blood Sweat and Tears or Skynyrd or whatever. I mean how many hard rockers are out there who only sing other peoples songs? The point of being a hard rocker is to sing what you believe, not what someone else hands to you.
I think that even if Carrie does not win next week, she will be the most, by far, commercially successful of the three.
I too think Vonzie will do well - she has a pleasant way about her.
I like Bo but I agree his sound may limit his range of songs - that will remain to be seen.
Carrie is nice and I like her - also am more comfortable when she sings light hearted country songs. When she sings gritty bar room songs - I just don't know.
I think that Bo will beat her out next week. But the top three will all so well IMO with their CD's. If Carrie selects some fun songs that a "young" person should sing - she could surprise us and win the competition.
Because Im old and not aware of current music trends, is there anyone out in the music world like Bo right now? A hard rocking (not country), under 30, male solo singer thats not associated with a band?
Im not saying that its either good or bad, but is there someone like that? It seems to be an interesting niche.
He has a great personality, a great voice and stage presence, and most of all, people remember Simon not thinking he was a good singer and that he shouldn't have even been in the top 24.
But, the country may go with Bo - heck, Simon had Bo then gave it to Carrie and I have to agree - tho I wished they had sung more up-tune songs.
Reminds of the movie "That thing you do" when Mr. White (Hanks) - says - "I don't want any of that lover's lament crap either...I want something snappy" - I predicted that Bo would sing "Vehicle" again and he rocked but where does he go from there? A Rock'n'Roll revival show? A remake of Blood, Sweat and Tears? I'm not sure - chicks might like him - he can be a Mike Bolton type - but the guys want Rock - and maybe he can bring back an old sound?
Carrie is country and will sell itself - that's it.
Carrie's style hurts my ears, she always tries to sing as high and as loud as she can. To me it is more of a screeching. That's why I liked Vonzell and Nadia much more than Carrie, because they didn't depend on all the high notes.
As for who wins the competition, it could go either way. Both contestants have a lot of fans. I think when it comes down to it, Simon hopes Carrie wins and Randy and Paula hope Bo wins, even though Randy and Paula won't come out and say it.
Justin wasn't from the south. And if you can't call someone from "NORTH" Carolina from the south, because it is called NORTH CAROLINA and Not South. Meaning Clay and Fantasia were from the "North"
im not gonna argue over american idol, but who the hell is justin? i dont remember him..
<< <i>And if you can't call someone from "NORTH" Carolina from the south, because it is called NORTH CAROLINA and Not South. Meaning Clay and Fantasia were from the "North" >>
ok, thats almost the dumbest thing ive ever heard.. i hope the smiley face means you're kidding..
Wait, the country liked "country" - let's hear it for Carrie Underwood!
I'm pretty much clueless - it was very close - I think Carrie very slightly 'edged' Bo out last nite with the final song. My criticism of Carrie - she tends to 'oversing' and it comes out like a scream whereas Bo tends to stay within himself more.
But I think the "nerves" showed on both contestants last nite - so does anyone have a sure pick?
Final tally: Bo edges Carrie out by 1% of the vote.
<< <i> I think Carrie very slightly 'edged' Bo out last nite with the final song >>
The final song and the encouragement of Simon may have put Carrie over the top.
The final show was long but they have a large loyal crowd and there's money to be made! The final part with the stars singing with contestants wasn't bad. Carrie and Rascal Flats was the best.
As a Skynard fan - I thought they looked a bit rough and why didn't they sing? Interesting.
I think Vonzel looked and sounded good tonite.
Overall - the top 3 were a good choice and I enjoyed this year. I guess....till next year?
Carrie was my favorite from early on and I still think she will be as marketable as Kelly and Clay. I just dont see Bo doing anything big soon. Fun show, fun season.
I never did see any of those cards anywhere though (added to legitimize the placement in our forum ).
I finally watched that INXS show last night. I have to admit, they have a much higher level of singer on that show. Quite a difference (but then again, these are more professional singers...although many of the Idol singers are as well).

Seacrest, out!

It's the opening first song - both Carrie and Bo have sung. My choice for the winner:
Vonzel!

I guess you aren't the hardcore idol fan that I thought you were.
<< <i>Justin Guarini from Season 1, he was the runner up and also was in From Justin to Kelly.
I guess you aren't the hardcore idol fan that I thought you were.
well, like i said.. all the top talent is from the south.. guarini sucks and he'll never have a career..
Who's gonna win tonite?
I'm going with Rock'n Roll! Bo "Shades" Bice!
Wait, the country liked "country" - let's hear it for Carrie Underwood!
