Just noticed the Gary Carter Basic set is missing the following "basic cards" with some years missing all three brands like 1985. It looks like when Neil set up the basic set he only added the cards he had ?

It is also possible that many of the cards you have listed weren't graded at the time the Basic set was established. PSA won't add a card that they haven't graded yet because it is not in their database. Therefore, for many of the modern player basic set, there are many cards that are missing until somebody grades one and requested it's addition.

Thanks i knew that is how the master sets worked, I didn't realize that is how the basic sets worked. what i found odd was that the master set had 81 Donruss etc but the basic set didn't
