Can you sign up on ebay without an email address.

Many people have been saying this today, and I did not think it was possible. When did this change? (or has it always been this way)

I really doubt if that would be possible. Ebay uses email to notify you of your wins or losses, to send you contact member messages, and to provide contact infomation to sellers or winning bidders. They want winning bidders and sellers to contact each other within three days. If one of them doesn't have email that is kind of hard to do.
