"Payne and Son, Oxford" sticker - Remove?

Hi All. Sorry, I'm new and posted this question previously in the wrong forum.
Great site. I am very excited to join and explore.
My question is in regards to a Charle I Crown which I wanted to post. It has what I believe to be a few interesting aspects.
However, it has a Payne and Son, Oxford sticker in the middle of the reverse (as do a few other coins in my recently acquired collection). Can this sticker be removed? It shouldn't be left on there for any reason, should it?
The sticker has some hand writing on it, "oxford mint" and a # which I believe to be the grading.
Regards,

And yes, acetone or xylene (xylol) would probably remove the sticker.....the guy must not have had envelopes, eh?
Payne and Son is/was the dealer from whom many of these coins were purchased.
I agree ... acetone or xylene will remove the sticker without damaging the coin. Just soak it until it's loosened up, and don't rub it.

Thanks all! I am thrilled to have found you!
Pictures posted. I started a new thread for the coin and the pics, in this same form.
The # is actually the price that Payne was asking for this coin at that particular time,50 pounds. British grading is not numerical.
