1836 German medal help?

Someone has asked me about this one and I haven't a clue.
The words around the coat of arms read 'GERMANY . ET . ALTERA . MIHI . PATRIA' and 'coron . pragae . mense . sept . MCCCXXXVI'
And around the image on the front, are the words: 'MARIA , ANNA . AUGUSTA . FERDINANDI . I . IMP . ET . REGIS'

Thanks!

The pic is missing from this post, but I'm willing to bet they're talking about the same medal: Krönungsmedalie von 1836 Maria Ann Augusta (the last poster says that cheap counterfeits are common!).. that led me to find this horror. Try this search for more hits.

Nice search spoon; the medals from the various 1836 coronation events are fairly common as are those strange bowls. You'll see them show up about every month or so on the Bay, sometimes with a different medal but most commonly the 1836 Austrian pieces.

Very true spoon on the counterfeits. I almost made the mistake of buying one of these medals until I did more research and found the counterfeits on these are very common.

Yep, the German poster who mentioned that said "nachpragung", though, meaning 'restrike'.. that usually falls in the same category as counterfeit for me, but I'm wondering if any of these were official, or just restruck for cheap souvenir tokens?

Anyone have a clue on what original peices would be worth?? I don't have confidence in any of the ones I clicked through while searching, but they were all asking crazy money for obvious 'restrikes'.
