Quick question

Somewhere in my closet I have an old minor league all-star team set. Nothing amazing about that except that that particular year's all-star team included Mark McGuire, Jose Canseco, and a few other big names. Anybody got any thoughts on the value of this?

It depends on what minor league set you are referring to and what year. If it is a 1985 Chong Modesto set, then the mcgwire card is somewhat valuable (probably at a mint 9 you can get 10-20 dollars for it...if its the mcgwire error, then youve got a very valuable card).
  • What's the error?

    His name is spelled incorrectly.

that that particular year's all-star team

Are they standard size cards or smaller. If smaller, it sounds
like the 1986 Donn Jenning's All-Star cards since you mentional all-star team.
Have any scans of the card(s)?
  • They are regular sized cards. I just went and dug them out of my closet, so here's the details:

1986 Southern League All-Star team set
    Mint
Mark McGwire (spelled on the card)
    Tom Glavine
    Bo Jackson
    Jose Caneco
    Mike Yastrzemski
    and a bunch of others

It's been about a decade since I even cracked the box open that these were in, so I'm a little out of touch. What do you guys think?
  • Here's a couple more cards I didn't realize I had

    '89 Donruss Curt Shilling rookie
    '89 Donruss Randy Johnson rookie
'89 Score Roger Clemens error card
  • Where did everybody go?
  • Yep, that's it.

What about the other cards I mentioned?
