1899 $5 Liberty, Is this real or fake?

I'm looking around doing some investigating and found this. I'm not a gold expert so I need your help here. eBay pictures, so I can't do anything about them.
Thanks

Could be fake, or lightly burnished, or just a bad image. Impossible to say for sure.

Just a poor picture is my guess.

On Ebay, stay far far away is my opinion.

Looks kinda slick, like maybe it was a jewelry piece or something. Ring removed, maybe, or rode around in a bezel for a while?

It isn't a rare coin, is it? Who needs the risk -- surely if it's something you want, a little looking will find you a reliably graded one from a reputable source. From one who has learned this the hard way --

Liberty's smile looks a little off, must be counterfeit.image
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.
