Wow - vintage bulk order graded in 2 days!!!

Vintage fb grades

I'm usually the once complaining because my order takes 2 months to grade. I personally handed my order to PSA on Sunday in Chicago (3/13) and the order was entered on Tuesday and graded today!!! Unbelievable. Overall fairly pleased - I was hoping for more 8's with the 1955 Bowman cards. Overall, pretty good. I bought all the cards off E-Bay except for 4.

Regards,

Greg M.

  • Greg! A sweet turnaround time!! I have a vintage lot that has been at psa for 2 weeks now. I hope the grades will pop up tomorrow! I have my fingers crossed!!! Enjoy the feeling!!My last vintage lot took 5 days- you now have the all-time speed record! Paul
  • Nice, thanks for posting grades.

I see on another thread you also had a find in Chicago.
I was present part of the day Sat. I also enjoyed the show.

I always seem to have good luck at the Chicago shows. Congrats Greg!

    FB Card Store.

I was fairly pleased with the show - there is less raw ungraded than ever. However, I thought most dealers that I dealt with were fairly reasonable on their vintage graded cards. I bought a PSA 8 Merlin Olsen rc for $90 and the PSA 8 Otto Graham rc for $700.

Having said that, there is a general shortage of high grade 70's/early 80's graded. I'm looking for many of the 70's rookies and there were none to be found. I'm especially having a hard time tracking down the 73's, 74's and 77's. I'm debating whether it's worth buying a 1977 Topps fb rack box to try my luck at pulling the 5 HOF rookies that are eluding me in high grade.

    Regards,

    Greg M.

P.S. - I'm looking forward to the 10 PSA 9 1978 Topps fb cards that I won from you. Thanks again!!

Just out of curiosity, how much did you find a 1977 Topps rack box for? 1977 seems to be an extremely difficult year to find unopened Football in! I have a perfectly clean box that I am trying to keep unopened and have not been able to find one to dip into...
I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy!
Don't waste your time and fees listing on ebay before getting in touch me by PM or at gregmo32@aol.com !

  • Greg, thanks for sharing. I always appreciate it when members share their grades. Maybe we could have a forum just for graded cards?

PSA has really been doing a great job as of late with their turnaround times.

I hope to share my vintage golf cards within the next week or so.
