The site now has this date. I called about my order, she said 3/22 for me. She also said more and more orders are coming in that's why there is a delay. Looks like an early sellout to me.

Looks like 700 million for each of the first two nickels.
Philadelphia Denver Total
Louisiana Purchase/Peace Medal 361,440,000 372,000,000 733,440,000
Keelboat 366,720,000 344,880,000 711,600,000
Total 728,160,000 716,880,000 1,445,040,000
And sorry, they can't make as many as they want. If you haven't heard, there is something called an Economy. You just can't print as much money as you want. These aren't beanie babies ya know.
Don't pay much attention to the estimated shipping date, my order has changed dates almost daily and now state Mar 14th. Ha Ha, Mar 14th is already passed.
The name is LEE!
As for the allocation, I think it's predetermined. I think they need to know what they are doing with these before they are made. Think about the wrapper, that has a buffalo on it, once those are gone, I would think that would be it. Of course they may have allocated more for the mint rolls, anticipating high demand OR they know dealers are a BIG part of their business, so they don't want to screw them and oversupply. Personally once I get mine the faster the sell out the better.

My order used to say this, but now its: expected to ship on 4/29/05." I ordered these on 3/3/05. Made it a big order to get the overnight shipping. This is turning out to be a 2 month order First it was: "there is a problem processing your order," then: "your order is in process'" and now the order is split, everything arrived but the nickels I have never had anything take this long before.
Thanks,
Tim
With 300 million people in the US, thats about 1 roll for every 17 people.
Since Dealers and many collectors ordered more than 1 roll, I can see how a secondary market would be alive and well in the short term.
I ordered 11 sets which means 187 people will be out of luck.

Hello all,
This is one thing most plp don't think about, I personally have several hundred nickels, of which ~1/2 won't see daylight for 10+ years.

I'd give you the world, just because...
Speak to me of loved ones, favorite places and things, loves lost and gained, tears shed for joy and sorrow, of when I see the sparkle in your eye ...
and the blackness when the dream dies, of lovers, fools, adventurers and kings while I sip my wine and contemplate the Chi.
