I don't know of any, since I've moved outta that area 25 years ago. I used to work at "The Coinery" around 1978-1980 which was in the Rockaway Mall. I think coin shops are getting harder to find with internet access.

The monthly show is in Parsippany... not too far from where you'll be. It's the largest monthly show in the country.

There are a few dealers I know of in Union and Essex counties, but I don't know how far that is from you...

Stone House Coin Shop in Scotch Plains
Horizon Rare Coins in Summit (small, not a ton of inventory)
Ye Olde Curiosite Shoppe in South Orange

  • I went to the Parsippany show this month. First time. Had a blast. It's the first Sunday of every month.

I can't speak for any of the shops, as I go to shows, but in addition to the monthly show in Parsippany (80 dealers), don't forget the GSNA show (also about 80-90 dealers) May 19-21. (Keep an eye on the show listings in Coin World.)

There's a show in Hackettstown (36 tables) on April 10 and there's an annual show in Sparta (I don't recall when, though, but Dart Coins in Middletown, NY organizes it, so they should know. Dart also goes to Parsippany and GSNA.)

There used to be a small coin shop in downtown Flemington just off of mainstreet, across from the court house. I don't if it is still there but should you find yourself in Flemington, snoop around a little bit. I haven't been there in ages....

There is a small mom & pop store in on Main st in Clifton, NJ called American Coin & Stamp. The owners name is Jeff. They get nice coins from time to time, but they are a bit on the expensive side. I have not been there in nearly 2 years so I am not sure if the operation has changed at all.
