    This coin was cleaned ultrasonicly then an acetone bath. befor the obv was black and the rev had a gold tone.

    I say this respectfully, but I don't think people are going to be beating a path to your door to copy the process. The result is not very attractive. Sorry ...
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible.     I think it looks fine for what it is. Before pics might make the posted pics more meaningful. Still, I wouldn't go messing with say a 16-D or 21 merc.

    Reminds me of the result when you take a heavily toned coin and dip it, it then has a paste-white appearence.
