1 Day listing,pre-approved bidders only, numerous misspellings and incorrect phrasing, prominent yahoo address with the notation (Do not use the the send message button as I would not recieve your e-mail.) and the biggest red flag!!!!

(I will accept generous offers (over 2500$ ) from bidders and remove the listing if buyer meets py payment and shipment terms and conditions.)

Looks like it might be a hijacked account.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

Thanks. The reason I ask is as a lead generator I was thinking about adding all our inventory to ebay as a buy it now or ebay store type set up. No paypal would be accepted ( but then you know what kind of material I have so you know why).

I don't understand the "don't use the send message" red flag one though.

I did have to laugh when I saw the "accept generous" offers one.

If it's a hijacked account, the e-mail may still point to the original owner's e-mail and not to the hijacker. The hijacker would not want you to send a message to the real owner because that would screw-up his con game.

Some e-mail providers will block e-mails from unknown senders (like AOL) and he might be trying to convince people that this is the real problem - only thing wrong with that is that all of the sellers I have known who have this problem are very up-front and state in the auction that they will not be able to get certain e-mails and they provide a number to call to solve the problem.

While I have a number of problems with Ebay, I will say that they have gotten much better/quicker about shutting down such listings.
