1971 topps baseball coin submission results

Howdy! Just sharing! I sent in a 20 coin lot of stars from a set I bought about 10 years ago. Five 9's, six 8's, seven 7's, and two 6's. Not bad! They all looked the same to me when I picked them out--- I'm curious of how psa grades coins since none of them had dents, rust, or scratches. The centering varied on them but none were too bad!! If you know- let me know! Submission: 4276823 Zip: 56537

Congrats on your results. Those 9's must make you feel good. Any idea why some got 6's and 7's? I was hoping you had a PSA 8 or 9 Bench I could try to talk you out of, but alas he's a 7. I have several examples of #149 but I'm not sure any would do better than 7. Guess I better pick the best one and send it in, or I'll never know.
  • Howdy! I'm curious of why the 6's were graded so low???? I'm going to look them over with a fine tooth comb when they return-maybe I missed something like a little rim dent or something. I have two 50 group common lots at psa right now being graded. All of these coins were super sweet ! I'm excited to see how they grade out!!! I have one psa 10 right now and I think there were at least 5 commons I sent in that have a chance at getting a "10"!!! Time will tell! I'll post the results when they are up!

I have had some decent success sorting through the coins (only submitted 3 (2) 9s and (1) 8) after sorting through several Perez coins. Paint chips and dents seemed to be what was common in most that I tried to stay away from. I would be interested in hearing your download from reviewing the 6s and 7s as to what brought them down in grade. Nice start on the set.

  • Paul,
Nice set. I let several nice ones go about 18 months ago. Never thought PSA would slab those.
Pm me if your interested in selling the Aaaron.
