Any IDers?

This "thing" is about an inch in diameter...I can't find it in anything that I've got. Any ideas?

Scotland that all I can tell you. That looks like a crown over a Thistle.

I'd guess Charles II or James II based on what I can see of the bust, but there is not much to work with on that one.

But they don't have crowns over the thistle.

  • These Scotland coppers were called 'bawbees' I believe. This one definitely looks to be Charles II or James II (As someone already mentioned) and would date roughly 1670-88. All the ones that I've seen have been 1670-77 Charles II types so that would be my
    best guess for this one
