Davissons Auction Catalogue arrived!

Davissons latest mail bid auction catalogue arrived today image

Very thin on Conders, but a nice selection of ancients and British hammered coins plus some milled coins. A few nice Scottish pieces also as well as British medals.

Two Napoleon medals, Death of Napoleon, Bramsen 1842 and Archduke Charles, Defeat of the French at Stockach, Germany by Wyon.

The best of the auction are the last 4 items - from the Boulton Estate
#352 - Boultons Medallic Scale - a mate to the one in Boz's sig line - FDC with contemporary wrapper.
#353 - Lafayette by F. Dumarest, in the copper shell with silver lining Copper
#354 - Rousseau by F. Dumarest, in the copper shell with silver lining Copper
and
#355 - Completion of the Bombay Mint 65mm - 1828. Silver. This medal has an unbelivable lion on the obverse. Rarity of RRRR - fewer than a dozen known. In the copper shell with silver lining. image
