Size requirements for sportscards are the standard published size plus or minus 3 mm.

And then they have this GEM (pun intentional)

Providing authentication is challenging and not guaranteed

Around a year or so ago, I bought four different Gem company's 1979 Topps baseball slabbed as 10s, each at $ 11.00 delivered, or less !!

Cracked them out of the holders, all for potential submission to PSA,
One had a small ding or tiny crease, one was a bit too small ( possible trimmed ? ), the other two looked nice and were sent to PSA.

Got a 9 on a checklist card, and got a 10 for Carl YAZ , both entered into my registered set !

This proves nothing, but shows there is/was some possible decent cards, fairly correct in grade, available from the GEM company.

Does that mean GEM's graders are mentally challenged?

What they mean to say: "Providing authentication is challenging, so we don't even try. If you say it's real, that's good enough for us."
  • Maybe PSA coud adopt their pricing scale.
