The only thing I use the battery for is to load pics into the computer. It's in a different room than my photo setup.

My camera is a big battery hog, so an AC power supply is essential for my coin pics too. Enjoy!

I get around 15 pictures from a fresh set of batteries with my camera. An adapter is essential.

  • I need one of those! May I ask where you get the adaptor?

Whomever the manufacturer of your camera is should have them. A good camera store or even Radio Shack would have something that would work. I'd try the manufacturer first though.

  • I got mine at Best Buy, they carry a universal adapter and it works fine on my Nikon, cost is around $30.00 but I got mine for free from rebates on my camera purchase....

I went to my camera company's website to match the camera to the proper power supply. Then I did a search on ebay for the model number and found a seller running several auctions with that supply at a very good price (I watched and waited and grabbed the cheapest one I could snipe). Memory has faded, but I know I didn't pay more than $25 for it, including shipping. If your camera is an Olympus, the seller olympusauctions probably carries the right power supply.

I got the AC adaptor for my nikon coolpix on ebay as well. Cost me $21 dollars with shipping. If I had bought it through Nikon it would have been about $34. BUt I would follow wybrit's advice and see if you can find one on Ebay.
  • gotta do that myself - even tho I have 2 batteries and always have one charging, it's a pain to have to stop in the middle of a shoot and swap out the batteries.
