Anyone with tips on how to crack open a slab?

Thanks again to everyone for all of the input on "to crack or not to crack"

Now my question is (and I did a search here first but found nothing):

What is the best way to crack open slabs from SGC, GAI and CSA?

Thanks again!

Send it uninsured in a plain white envelope with a 39 cent stamp on it...
  • Always a hot topic - other members with more computer know how than I will likely supply a link or 2 to
some helpful hints. For me - easy to pop open SGC with a screwdriver on the seams - be GENTLE. For
GAI, etc I just go ahead and hack saw off a corner and gentle slide screwdriver in opening and gently twist.
Be patient the first time you do this.

    Good luck

Here's the definitive site for this
    BruceMo's Slabcracker 101

PSA and SGC's are very easy, GAI and Becket a bit harder.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

Small flat tip will do the trick for PSA and SGC.

    Start on one corner...insert a little...jiggle a little...repeat.

You will here the seal crack and your home free.

Of course most of my experience is cracking SGC slabs image

    Loves me some shiny!
