pr70 1964 Lincoln..You have to read this !!

After we discussed the pr70 64 Lincoln, I went back to the coin shop today, I was hoping it was in a PCGS slab..but
it was in an ICG slab. I went to the web site and thought there was a way to search by serial #. (I wrote it down) but there was not. I called ICG and asked the rep on the phone if there was a way to look it up on the web site. He said there was not but if I gave it to him he could look it up. I gave him the serial # (3688880301) and it came back as a pr70 1964 Lincoln.. So I asked the next question.
If there is only a population of 10 according to the reports from PCGS and it would be a few hundred $$. Then why would it only be $29.00 ( he took $10.00) off if I wanted it. fron ICG??....the phone got very,very quiet and then he said "we tend to be a little more liberal on the modern stuff than PCGS" but if I wanted to call back on Monday the person that could help me is at a coin show. THank you for the advice on this.. I would have kicked myself pretty hard. I'm so glad I took the time to get a little education instead of "impulse buying".:joy

I leave for 3 hours and an ICG thing goes over.I really cant add any to this conversation.They are liberal on moderns.Can I say anything else.
