WOW!! 1933 $10 Eagle at Stacks....

Fellow 1933 $10 Eagle owners. John Kutasi, have you looked at this one??? Seems like the reverse is not too shabby. Wonder if Laura ever goes for any of these.

Most of the reverses of the ones I've seen, like mine, has some good gouges on their reverse, making them impossible to be Gems. (except the NGC 66 biggie sold at Stacks recently, which all of you had been raving about with its closing price).

This one in the Stacks March 15/16 sale looks to me, (only from photo) like it is a NICE ONE!!!! (But the way Stacks is talking about it, it is only a 64...). The January 2004 Michaels Collection 1933 which sold for $172,500 and the Richmond one (over $276,000) does NOT look as nice as this one. And with the moon closing prices on Key high eye appeal coins, it will be interesting....

A Lot of other fine gold pieces. But how about the CIRCULATED Ultra High Relief!!! How does THAT happen???

Well lloyd, if Stacks is calling it a 64 , when some folks in the business get thru with it , it just might end up in a piece of plastic labeld 66!

At first glance in person, the coin is a 66+.

Swirling hairlines on the cheek, huh.... good luck! image
