I've got a coin in an old rattler holder, I want to have it reholdered because the coin is beginning to show some "Rub" from sliding around in the old rattler holder.
My concern is whether or not PCGS would reholder it at its current grade with the rub that was caused by the old holder, and if not, is this coin covered by the PCGS guarantee?

If it is showing "Rub" it is not from the holder as the coins surface cannot touch the holder in a way to create "Rub", the rattle comes from the coins edges not the surface.
Guess they could always disavow the grade - there is precident.
