I love the reverse, nice even color and looks mostly original.

The obverse looks like a non-professional tried to clean part of it and did a bad job.

I dont have a Krause that goes back that far so I dont know how rare the piece is.

  • That's a nice looking thaler.

Is MS-65 considered an extraordinary grade for such a coin, or not?

That's a real nice coin, but I don't have a clue as to what it will sell for.

  • I like it!! image
  • I like toning, but only having the oportunity to personally hold a few Thallers, i would prefer a nice untoned one, there is just so much beautiful detail on these that i would rather be able to see each detail without the tone.....

That's just me tho, and this is a beautiful coin that i bet looks much nicer in hand!!!

    Silver taler. 300 years. Untoned.......IMPOSSIBLE!

That taler went unsold about 3-4 auctions ago. Nice coin, though.

If I could actually see the coin in the photograph, I might hazard a guess as to what it might sell for. It probably looks infinitely better in person (and out of the slabimage ).

I like the coin but I doubt collectors will pay stupid money for it.

There are so many restrikes of dated Thalers that I have no idea of what's original and what isn't. Therefore, I will leave them to the rest of you.
