When a Rookie Card is also an Error Card

I'm putting together a rookies key card set that includes Jim Taylor. The 1959 Topps #155 is his "rookie card," but it has the wrong guy on it. Why would I want that to count as his rookie card?
It seems to go against the whole idea of picture cards in a key card collection. Doesn't it seem more reasonable to count his 1961 Topps as his rookie card since it's the first one with his actual photo on it?
Thoughts?

Pinchdatail - I agree with you and brought up the same topic
a few months ago but was quickly shot down by the rookie card purists.
Beckett says it's his rookie card so it doesn't matter if Bozo the Clown's picture is on it.
By the way, SMR in PSA 8 for Taylor's 1959 card is $ 65 and his 1960 card in 8 is $ 30.
The first mainstream cards actually picturing him are his 1961 Topps - $ 65 in 8 and 1961 Fleer - $ 70 in 8.
So the market value of his 3rd year cards are at or above that of his 'official' rookie card.
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"
Still very low for a vintage HOFer if you ask me.
Also,
The Rookie reg has driven up the price of the 59.
Loves me some shiny!
