  • It seems pretty clear that this steroids scandal will not hurt baseball. But I think it taints guys like Bonds and Giambi. Would Bonds have hit all those Hr's without steroids? Maybe we'll see some more SB's and hit and run plays when these guys shrink down to normal size.
  • I agree with Lodi. steroids will hurt individual players not the entire game. It will however screw the record books for all of eternity. So be prepared to hear the asterisk arguement for the rest of your life. thats what really sucks.

I'd like to see pitchers ERA's return to reality. Perhaps we'll see less elbow and shoulder injuries as well since the pitcher won't have to throw harder or throw more breaking balls to get past those artificially quick bats.

Thank God that we all know once and for all, why the home run numbers exploded the way they did. I always thought the watered down pitching from expansion, smaller ball parks, better bats, tighter baseballs and better weight training was the reason.

Now we know it had nothing to do with the aforementioned. It was steriods all along! image

Yeah, when you see pitcher's with a 3.50-4.00 ERA's commanding a premium salary these days, you really have to wonder.
