Wow I just noticed many of my other Lincoln Cents are missing a D also. This is great.
Dear eyoung429,
You asked:
"Woww...what an incredible coin........Oh, but wait....I have about 30 of them just lying about.... Try again....you are talking about the 1922 No "d" or faint 'd'. $7,500.00??? I will sell all 30 of mine to you for 5K and I will throw in a G 1922 no 'd'"
eyoung429, thanks for the, oh so POSITIVE FEEDBACK. I paid a pretty penny for the items that I have (no pun intended). KEEP your thirty....and hold the phone... Rhondarocker
Some people will pay anything.....
Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.

Well, if she did actually pay a penny (regardless of its degree of prettiness), she got a good deal .
Threadjacking into seriousness, how much of the rarity and perceived value of the 1922 "No D" is due to the fact that no 1922 cents were produced in Philadelphia that year? I suspect that there are indeed real 1924 "No D" cents (as well as most other dates), but they just have no value because they are indistinguishable from regular 1924 cents.
If there was a 1922 cent production in Philadelphia, would the 1922 "No D" garner any attention whatsoever? I doubt it.
