What kind of alignment is used as in is it like US coins where the obverse and reverse are oposite of each other or on mexican coins are the reverse and the obverse the same rotation?

US coins also use coin rotation.
Coin rotation is where each side is correct side up when you flip it over top-for-bottom
Medal rotation is where each side is correct side up when you turn it over side-to-side
