Question for the specialty dealers (gold, early gold, early copper, etc.)

In certain of the gold, early gold, and early copper series there are pretty low populations. For the full-time dealers (or fanatical collectors), do you reach a point where you've "seen them all" in your area of expertise and can remember when and where you have seen the coin in the past? For example, for a gold coin with a population of 100 or so (assuming it trades somewhat regularly), when you see a coin in that population, can you say, "oh, that was the coin that I owned in 19XX and sold it at FUN to dealer XX", etc., etc. In other words, how familar do you become with the specific coins in your area of expertise?

I owned 7 of the 1834 Capped Bust 2 1/2's, 4 at one time and sold 3 of em in one day to collectors ( both MS-61's were in that sale!). They did a story in Numis News on the front page about that one!

I could think of more than that but I really liked those deals.

I have a tendency to go after certain series as a mini packman though.
