AuctionSniper.com Question

So I've finally decided to get into the sniping business. The site said I got 3 snipes free, but when I joined I imported 12 items that I wanted to snipe. These are now all in my snipe folder but it still says I have 3 free snipes. Did I not set these snipes up correctly or something? Once they are on the page are they automatically set up to snipe? I'm kind of confused and want to make sure I'm doing this correctly. If anyone can verify what I need to do I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

you'll show the credit for three snipes until they're successfully placed. one word of advice though, if you snipe a lot auctionsniper's the most expensive sniping service i know of. I use it now, b/c i don't buy much off of ebay anymore and it's simple. however, when i had the disposable income to play on ebay i used bidnapper. paying a yearly fee is far more economically than 5% of each auction.

Yea, I first used auctionsniper and switched over to justsnipe after I realized I was paying
about $20 for auctionsniper in snipes for just 1 month. Justsnipe is the way to go for $5 unlimited
snipes per month if you do a lot of sniping.
  • Peronally, I find auctionraptor.com the best. Unlimited snipes for the first month, then 5 bucks a month for unlimited.

The reason why I like it, is because you can set up bid groups, if you bid on a ton of items every day and don't want to spend too much. Last I checked, you couldn't do this with the others.

just a thought,as a newwbie here, what if two or more of you snipe the same auction.someone wins but also someone loses.so much for your snipping.
  • LOL, if we got mad everytime one of us outbid each other, this would be a war zone.

I'd say you've done everything right. Auctionsniper will place bids for you all day long, you only get charged if you win the auction.

Does auctionrapter charge you if you win the auction?

  • No, it's just 5 dollars a month for unlimited snipes. Free unlimited snipes trial for the first month.
  • Well, here's the end to my sad little sniping story...

My fears were definitely valid, after the fact. I set up 12 snipes all which were ending within minutes of one another and eagerly awaited the show. I watched the 1st auction... refresh... refresh... ok, some other person just sniped... refresh... refresh... ok, where is my snipe... auction ends. WTF?? Same thing happened with the 2nd auction.

I quickly go to auctionsniper.com and attempt to re-verify my ebay information. At that point I was presented with an error "We are currently unable to validate your information"... although this feature had worked and verified my info about 15 minutes earlier. So now that I had missed 2 auctions I went in and sniped the last 10 myself. It was annoying that I missed the first 2 that I wanted because I would have won them easily.

So, after all was said and done I still got MOST of the stuff I wanted, but sniping sure has left a sour taste in my mouth. I had deposited $5 paypal because I wasn't sure if you needed pre-existing funds or not (I want to great lengths to ensure no mix ups, and still failed). Well I was pretty pissed and emailed the site explaining what happened and asking them to refund my deposit as I did not plan to ever use their site.

They responded by telling me that my ebay username and password had to match my username and password for their site. This was one of the most idiotic things I had ever heard. I would think sniping technology is somewhat complicated but why in the world would the usernames and passwords need to be the same? Well I couldn't even remember what username and password I had created for the site, but lo and behold it was the exact same as my ebay info. So I replied to the customer service who implied that I had done something wrong and told them the info was the same as my ebay account. They then replied with some sort of "oh, well it should work now."

Ah-Ha!!! That was pretty much all I needed to hear for them to admit fault. I had everything set up correctly, but apparently they didn't. After my second email demanding my paypal payment be refunded they finally sent it to me.

Maybe I'll try again some time but for the immediate future I'll be doing all of my own sniping. It's free and at least I can trust myself.
