I think I'm getting this lighting thing down.

My latest(thanks to Ken at Main Line Stamp and Coin in Ardmore, PA)screamed "buy me", a no-brainer which I fell in love with within 5 seconds has that great original look and superb luster. I don't mind the obverse chatter and the reverse is a killer. Ken showed me a 64 and a 65 from the same submission, from a same original roll, but this, an NGC MS63 surprisingly looked the most interesting and in my budget. The luster flies off the creases in Lincoln's war-battered face.
And wheras the coin is indeed nice, I had to tweak the lighting for several minutes in order to get the light balance correct. I'm finally starting to understand what the coin needs BEFORE I click the shudder! It's not all trial and error any more! This gets cracked out and my 4 Dansco Commemoratives(Columbian, Lincoln, Pilgrim Stone Mountain) section is now complete. The set of 4 has two subthemes: all have obverse faces that face each other evenly(right-left, left-right)all historical(not general)figures. Reverses have 2 eagles/2 ships! Enjoy
