Lots of feedback, good rating, offers refunds. This may be one of those rare raw Mantles that's for real. I'm still surprised it's not graded. Even PSA 2 would bring more than it will in that condition, raw, with bidders wondering why it's not in a holder. Twelve bucks is a small investment to increase your sale price by hundreds.

This seems to be a legitimate seller with strong feedback.. He does offer 7 day refund.

I'd guess it's a fake. The centering matches exactly with a well known counterfeit. If you can get a picture of the back of the card, I'd lay even money that it will have two slight wax stains running horizontally across the back, one through the red lettering of BASEBALL and the other through Mantle's birthdate.

This card, along with a small handful of others, are examples of cards that should only be purchased slabbed, unless examining them in person.
  • I emailed the person for a scan of the back so we will see what he says

    Hi Greg
You could always email the seller and ask if the card gets returned from PSA as fake, altered in any way etc. - would they accept it back - that would be the ultimate guarantee and you will get a good feel on the guy?
