Sweet lowball coin..............I have a pile of no dates waiting for the bottle......
Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.

That's fantastic! I once saw a 1914/3 that was acid dated in an ANACS slab. They would make a cool set.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

That's pretty cool. I once bought a bunch of dateless Buffalos, and all I got were a bunch of common dates from the 20s.

I bought one like that for my son's set from Jade at last year's ANA. It is about the only way he was going to get one. The overdate was easily visible to the naked eye after the acid treatment.

I have about 500 of the no date coins. Maybe I should pick up some Nic-a-date. But what the heck do you do with all of the acid treated coins when you are done?

I consider Nic-a-Date just plain old entertainment. Its fun to put it on and see the dates materialize. I've found that most of them are from the teens and 20's. After doing it and not finding anything exciting, I just dump them with other change at the bank.

The rarest nic-a-date coin I saw was a 1916 double die indian head 5 cent! I believe there are only a couple hundred anywhere in any grade!! I think it sold for $450 in an auction.

    You needed to ask?image

    Auction

I've bought a few of these (not at this price!) to fill the blanks and some of them aren't bad looking.

Here is a link where the photo is still current. This guy is doing the whole coin.

Anyone want to grade this one?
