he has a coll type three on there now for a great value price it is ms64 but for a few hundgred more you get 1000 times the coin

Michael is onto something. I would recommend AU or MS 63. I don't really like the grades of 62 or less because, if you can spend the time to search, you can find coins with nicer eye appeal in the AU range for cheaper or the 63 range for a small amount more!

I have a pretty little Type III gold dollar (an 1874). But it is in an AU58 holder. (PCGS, submitted at the 2004 FUN show). Askin' $210, delivered, PayPal is fine. PM me if interested. It's a pretty little coin.
