My wife work in a bank for 15 years in the 70's and part of the 80's and in that time she was always collecting Ike dollars. This was before we got merried. We must have about 500 of them and I did sent 5 off the be graded all 1974 and three came back MS66 and 2 MS-64 I wonder is it worth getting anymore of them graded or just hang on to them for the grandchildren. They do take up a lot of room in the deposit box but being slap would be even bigger maybe only certain dates should be graded.

If those are 1974-P's, they are worth some serious $$$! (Probably $1,000-$1,300) range.
If they are 1974-D's, they are still worth good $$$ ($200-$300).
If they were slabbed by NGC.....
Still REAL good money for the 74-P's
OK money for the 74-D's.
I'm assuming they are all clads.....
Use the ones you just got graded and compare them to the others you have.....It is worth
sending in ANY of them in if they look better than the 64's. Basically, you'll do OK as long as
they come back 65 and do GREAT if they come back 66!
If you wish to sell these, PCGS is first choice to bring the most money....NGC and ANACS are next.
If you have any 72-P's check to see what variety they are (there are 3).
Type 2 is worth good $$$$ in ANY condition. Types 1 and 3 are worth sendng in at 64 and higher.
Having some already graded to compare them to is your biggest advantage...use those!
Oh yeah,.....if those are 74-P's in 66......I would be VERY interested!
GOOD LUCK!

I LOVE IKES!
Recommendation.
1. Slab all Ike's MS-65+
2. 1972 variety II (high relief) MS-63+ This variety used dies that were mainly used for proofs; but were also used for some early minted Philadelphia reverse side Ike's.
