Wonder what will happen to ANACS?

I use ANACS for grading most of my coins. Now that they have been sold to the owners of Red Book Pubulications I wonder if there will be a change in the priceing and the service. They are really fast and accurate in my opinion and there prices realized on the Heritage Auction are in line with NGC and seem to hold their own. Lets hope they do get the shippment tracking service started. ANACS was working on it before the sell.

New guy here..... ANACS is the only place I've ever got my coins graded. I just wanted an accurate grade in a cost effective holder that was respected. Fits my bill. I hope they don't go commercial. Let's face it PCGS and NGC are in a promotional/commercial war right now. I just want an honest grader of my coins. In my mind...ANACS is in a great position right now.

Hate to break it to you, they're in business to make money. Hopefully they cure their customer service issues and learn how to spot AT coins.
  • I've always been happy with their customer service. Return my phone calls within 24 hours. Even if I didn't pay for Fx service to get the grading right away Accounting has always given them to me over the phone with no problems. NGC has good customer service also. I'm not real happy with PCGS not very responsive and I don't like waiting 2 months for coins.

I've never had service issues either, bit EE is correct on their issues with AT coins.

I like the waiting with PCGS. It's like "rediscovering" the coins when they arrive. image
  • OK I'll show my stupidy what's AT

AT = Artificial Toning. Toning being a big craze now, people have started artificially toning pieces. Mainly dollars. I'm just starting to pick up on some of the nuances.
