Toned lincoln...see picture

I am not sure of how to value coins that have a very nice eye appeal and great toning. Believe it or not I picked this up in change the other day.It just stands out and the condition is superb. any thought on condition and value even though it is a 1984 ?. I am going to keep it because I like it so much and thats most important, but as a value ???

Looks like your basic Red Lincoln cent to me? image

However, the fact that you got a BU 1984 without spots is noteworthy. I guess it was the 1984-D coins that were the worst, but boy, did I have a tough time finding any without little black specks (carbon spots?).

Pretty nice for a circulation find, I reckon.

  • The shadow around Lincolns head is actually like a deep red/purple..it really jumps out when placed next to any other uncir lincoln.
