Sorry to hijack your thread, WB, but I did see your pics in the other thread, and am still unable to help you pin down a Sheldon variety on that one. (I checked out the Sheldon book from the library to attribute the one I just posted a pic of.)

I have fallen in love with the large cents!!!My first was a 1855 in XF, and got hooked. Ya know what I think is rreeaallyy cool about my 1798? It was minted the year after George Washington left office and the year before he died. I just try to think what life was like then and think about all this coin has been around for. Nastalgic I guess.

I've always liked 1798 stuff, too, for some reason.

When I finally find the holed Bust dollar for my Holey Coin Vest, I hope it's a 1798.
