Live Heritage Zip Rip NOW

Ever wonder how many pillows Kmart sells in a few days?

answer: ALOT

3 of my 6 heritage boxes, buried under mount pillow, were laying exposed today in Kmart, probably only minutes away from being
carted away to the front of the store or maybe something worse. I noticed that these were the zipper boxes (coined by
a fellow heritage collector)

There are supposed to be loaded with light backs but not much in the way of goodies. Lets just see huh?

3 boxes starting very soon! Who is aboard?

Kevin

Heritage here in AZ must not be selling well. The last few days I have been busy went to 2 walmarts and 2 targets all had Heritage. Between the 4 stores I bet I have seen 25 boxes collecting dust.

  • Last week I happened to catch the sportscard rep for Wal-Mart in the store, she told me that all the salespeople in her company are begging for more Heritage as they have all been selling out as soon as they get it on the store shelves.

Help me with these questions please:

    (1) I don't quite understand the "hiding in the pillows" part. Why would anyone "hide" boxes? Why not just buy them (unless a quick trip to the ATM is required)?

    (2) Has anyone received whitebacks in boxes other than the 8-packers?

    (3) I need to go back and read the main Heritage thread, but to save me time, did I dream this, or did I read somewhere that the whitebacks have differences other than just the backs (cartoons or something)? If so, why are these whitebacks in more demand?

    Thanks everyone!

Toys R Us in Culver City (LA area) had lots of heritage last nite. Bought a box, no light backs, no GU or autos, 3 chromes, 5 short prints, 1 flashback. Not a card I needed, $20. flushed.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

That's the problem - I have a case of packophilia, otherwise, after a case purchase - tops - it's time to trade and sell to get the master.
A friend sent me his chromes - about 25 - at the time I had about 55 - or 50% - that means I have a 50/50 chance that a card will be needed - I LOST! Most of the cards given were NOT needed!!!
I bought a retail box of 24 and did not find 1 SP that I needed!

But, with packophilial tendencies, I will rip, rip, rip!!!

  • Hey softparade, look in housegoods under the pillows for your Heritage boxes. Some K-Marts keep them there.

I'ld jump into the dumpster if that's where they were! But seriously, I haven't traveled like I did last year but there seems to be a bit less product in my area compared to last year!
